Edmonton native Alyssa Lau of Ordinary People has teamed up with Bench. for their #LoveMyHood Campaign. Taking us around to her favourite Edmonton spots, restaurants, shops, and cafes – we get a close look at what makes Edmonton her home.
Starting [some of] her days bright and early at the rivervalley, Alyssa says this spot is one of the best things about living in Edmonton. The rivervalley is a trail that captures the true and natural beauty of Edmonton.
109th Street is another spot that makes this place home to Alyssa. Close to her studio, this street is her go to place for good grub. Restaurants like, Sakana Japanese Cuisine, Farrow Sandwiches, Three Boars, Remedy Cafe, Rosso Pizzeria, and Leva Cafe. Leva Cafe is one of her favourite places to caf up with amazing thin crust pizzas and gelato.
Helping us escape the cold and the snow, Alyssa takes us to The Mutt Art Conservatory where she loves to chill out and catch up on some reading.
Chinatown is another area in Edmonton where Alyssa loves to grab great food; such as King Noodle and Tau Bay where they have awesome Vietnamese subs and pho.
Finally, Alyssa brings us downtown to Jasper Ave. where you can find an incredible lookout point and see how amazing a boring old street looks in the night.
