Who says prom is overrated?

Last Thursday, NYX Cosmetics hosted its highly anticipated #NYXCLASSOF2016 prom event to celebrate the grand opening of its third Canadian store located in the Toronto Eaton Centre.

Hundreds of key influencers across the Canadian beauty community gathered together to mix, mingle, and relish in the next-level prom experience that was created to catch their attention and generate buzz. Top-tier beauty influencers arrived in an extravagant (and hot pink!) NYX limo.

Each and every corner of downtown Toronto’s Berkeley Church was decked out to recreate the atmosphere of a real-life prom. From the giant neon sign that read ‘#NYXCLASSOF2016’ to the hot pink carpet, every aspect of the décor screamed NYX and demanded attention, setting the ambiance of the night.

Throughout the evening, guests engaged and interacted by visiting the various stations surrounding the event space. Invitees had the opportunity to leave their mark by signing the NYX Lips that announced the Toronto Eaton Centre store opening.

Guests were provided with human-sized props to incorporate into both fierce and funny photos taken at the extremely popular photo booth. We all know that it didn’t really happen unless it’s documented with a picture, right?

Many attendees tested their luck at a game or two of Plinko on a custom board that was created and branded specifically for the night. Prizes ranged from sunglasses to bubbles to NYX temporary tattoos.

NYX ensured that everyone’s makeup was always on point by setting up fully stocked product stations and a selfie mirror. This allowed everyone to touch up their (already flawless) makeup while testing out a variety of NYX products.

There was never a dull moment at the #NYXCLASSOF2016 prom. Los Angeles’ DJ Lady Sha had guests dancing the night away.

Not one person left the event empty handed! Each guest received a NYX knapsack filled with makeup, coloured pencils, and a colouring book.

The #NYXCLASSOF2016 prom event was truly a night to remember (and it definitely beat our high school prom!). Be sure to see what your favourite beauty bloggers and influencers got up to at prom by searching the hashtag #NYXCLASSOF2016.
